Inspiring Leadership Transformation
Modern leadership is difficult. The rapid pace of change and dealing with so many uncertainties mean today’s managers need plenty of support. And forward-thinking companies – like Asia recruitment firm Vinarco – are making sure they get that support through training.
Voxtree was approached by Vinarco to deliver a 6-month program that would help a group of 12 leaders upskill and learn how to navigate the challenges of modern leadership.
Specifically, they wanted managers to:

Learn to take initiative and be pro-active, taking ownership of results

Improve team cohesion, ensuring staff are fully supported

Increase self-motivation and motivation of others by giving effective feedback, controlling difficult conversations and coaching

Become a more inspirational leader by learning how to create and sell a vision

Avoid burnout
The resulting Leadership Transformation Program was made up of 6 modules, on topics ranging from ‘Navigating Modern Leadership’ and ‘Selling Your Vision’ to ‘Supportive Leadership’ and ‘Inspiring Team Spirit’.
“The benefits of the course were immediately evident,” says Vinarco CEO Andrew McDowell. “Participants reported significant improvements in their confidence, communication skills, and ability to foster a positive, proactive work culture.

Flexible program structure
Four of the modules were delivered face-to-face, while remaining modules were delivered virtually in several 2-hour sessions. This allowed for flexibility and meant that managers did not have to take too much time away from their activities.
In between modules, the managers teamed up with a ‘buddy’ to share learnings from the course, discuss how to overcome challenges and set personal goals while holding each other to account. Each participant also had a meeting with their line manager to update them on progress and get advice for further development.
At all times, participants tracked their own progress in a digital handbook shared with them at the outset of the course.
“The course format, a combination of face-to-face sessions and virtual engagement with Neil, proved to be highly effective,” says Andrew. “We found no disadvantage in the hybrid delivery method; in fact, it seamlessly facilitated learning and interaction.”
Overcoming language barriers
All participants were Thai and the course was delivered in English. As such, language issues had to be accommodated so that participants could successfully access the learning.
“Neil skilfully adapted his approach by using a slightly modified version of English, ensuring a high level of comprehension among all participants,” says Andrew. “This strategy was highly effective and met with the participants' satisfaction. Additionally, the course encouraged peer mentoring, where those with advanced English skills supported colleagues with lesser proficiency, further enhancing the learning experience.”
